マンドラゴラの学名はMandragora Officinarum。
ナス科の多年草
葉は根生し、倒卵形。高さ30cmほどの花茎をのばし、白または淡青色の花を咲かせる。
地中海沿岸に分布し、とくにギリシアに多い。
