ドミニコ会、The Dominican Order

ドミニコ会は1206年にドミニコ・デ・グスマンにより建てられ1216年に認可されたカトリックの修道会。正式名称を説教者修道会という。略号は OFP である。

清貧を重んじ、初期は托鉢によってのみ生活したため「乞食修道会」「托鉢修道会」の異名を持つ。アルビジョワ十字軍における異端審問で知られ、反対派から canis domini の綽名を付けられた。-wikipedia.jp
